In this LEGO Minecraft: The Farm Review, we take a look at the next LEGO Minecraft set in the Minecraft theme.
The Farm is another low priced Minecraft Set and contains 262 pieces which works out at around $0.11USD per piece if you buy this at the recommended retail price.
It’s a little more expensive than LEGO Minecraft The Cave set, but this is due to the addition of unique pieces you get in this set. And yes there are quite a few custom pieces in this set which makes up for the price rise.
Anyway, let’s take a look at what’s inside the LEGO Minecraft Farm set.
LEGO Minecraft: The Farm Review – Set 21114
Based on the front cover of the box, this LEGO Minecraft set looks awesome, and unlike some other sets, it’s only the background that isn’t included in the box.
I’ve mentioned that LEGO could include a Playmat or background scene with little extra cost so I’m not going over that again.
There are some great Minecraft elements in this set, so let get started.
And as you’d expect from a farm there are plenty of plants to grow, like carrots, wheat, sugar cane and even a pumpkin.
The LEGO Minecraft Pumpkin is a great addition to this set and can be used as a head for the Minifigs which is in keeping with the normal Minecraft gameplay.
There is a neat little waterfall and LEGO introduce us to a LEGO Minecraft Birch Tree, which is also in-game.
And finally, we get fencing and a gate to keep our Minifig animals nice and safe.
So let’s take a look at the LEGO Mini Figures included in this set.
Minecraft Mini Figures and Accessories
There are two regular mini figures in this set, a Steve and a Skeleton.
The Minecraft Steve has a blue top and purple pants and a square head as you’d expect from a LEGO Minecraft Minifig. And although the body is that of a standard LEGO minifig, the head certainly gives you a feel you’re playing with Minecraft.
And don’t worry about not having enough Steve’s to play with as you get either a Steve or Alex in every LEGO Minecraft set.
Skeleton’s and Zombies are some of the most common MOBS in Minecraft so you’ll want to have plenty on hand if you want to build a MOB army
And now onto the LEGO Minecraft Animal MOBS.
The Minecraft Sheep is very well designed and surprisingly uses very few new pieces. Just the blocky printed head is a new piece here.
The Minecraft Cow is another great build with a printed block head and actually used a number of standard pieces to get the patterns on the side and top of the cow. Great Job!
Both of these Minecraft Animal MOBS are what you’d expect in the LEGO Minecraft – The Farm Set.
For the minifig accessories, we get a wooden bow, a wooden shovel, torches, chest, bread and a crafting table for Steve to turn his raw materials into something much better.
The Crafting Table is built with printed pieces for the sides and top, and looks like the one in the game.
The time to build this LEGO Minecraft -The Farm set will vary depending on your experience with LEGO, but it shouldn’t take much more than 30 minutes to build.
In this LEGO Minecraft Alternate Build, we see Steve wearing the Pumpkin Head and chasing the skeleton away.
Of course, we all know that Steve can’t really see that well, when he puts on a Pumpkin Head, so he probably thinks he’s trying to catch another sheep.
Poor skeleton, he dropped his bow and is now defenseless against Steve’s attacks. Meanwhile, the Minecraft cow and the sheep seem to be amused by all this fuss.
Stop Motion Video Example
Now it wouldn’t be a proper review at BrickFlicks TV without showing you a stop motion that uses the LEGO Minecraft – The Farm set.
So sit back and enjoy the show…
I’ve enjoyed this LEGO Minecraft: The Farm Review and although not as good value as The Cave set, there are a number of unique pieces that really add to the product costs of this set.
There are very sets that include features like the Birch Tree, Pumpkin Head and Animal MOBS so this makes the Farm a must have LEGO Minecraft Set.
Great Job LEGO!
